Through the eyes of a child ( 05 May 2004 - 4:57 p.m. ) There's a small child across the road, she's absolutely intent on balancing a broom on her index finger. She's been trying for ages, hooking it on the porch so it starts off straight and makes it easier. And it works for a short while then falls over. But she doesn't give up. You see, when you're a child, you love what you're doing, it holds your attention completely for the time you are doing it, until you stop. And then, like the little girl has just done now, you forget it completely, and march off to do something else. And none of it really matters at all, but for short moments it fills your whole life. I want to be more like that. | |||||||||
