Joy, reading and PUNK ( 31 March 2004 - 9:14 p.m. )

It was another gorgeous day actually. I woke up late, about 11, and the sun was already shining, bright and warm in a crystal blue sky. Again I felt good when I got up: I can take the day, bring it on! And I could, too.

I had some books delivered yesterday, but me and Dave were at Cat's, and Steve was out, so they got taken back to the depot. And Dave drove me down to get them, which was a surprisingly pleasant trip, cos it was so summery, and I love driving in the summer with the windows down and good music on.

And upon return, I put on loud punk, and talked to Cat online a bit, and decided that living with Felix, just for the summer, is a distinct possibility, and that I am gonna do this damn Ph.D. That my life is great, and will continue to be so, as long as I stop getting stressed by things like work, that really, really don't matter. What matters is my friends, and having fun, and being able to watch things, and not letting anyone, ever, get to me.

Then I sat in the garden, on a blanket on the grass, and read for the afternoon. And felt chilled out and great, and came in and made a summertime compilation CD, with lots of lovely punk, and some nice chilled songs too.

And even making dinner was fun, with ridiculous banter going on, that I haven't taken part in for so long, and it felt good.

And nothing went wrong at all. I was happy for the whole day.

By the time we made it to New Orleans,
It must have been half past three,
By the time we made it to Memphis,
We were crazy.
