An ode to no one ( 28 March 2004 - 6:23 p.m. ) Drunk people are very funny. I stayed in last night, being all lonely. And Cat decided to phone me at about 11, completely trashed on red wine. It was very sweet. And I got to talk to her friend Aimee, pretty much at the same time. And today I went to lunch with my supervisor, and various other people from the laser group. And it was actually very nice. Him and his wife are very nice people, and he's very like my father. And alot of the time was spent listening to Hannah's crazy stories, cos she talks alot about things, but has a way of saying even the most banal things that makes them sound so lovely. She was talking to my supervisors sun about measuring his height on the wall, and said: "You should wear really thick shoes. Cos then you could shrink. It'd be great." And that made me giggle. And still does. It was such a gorgeous thing to say. I love things like that, just sitting in a nice country house, with nice people, who aren't afraid to observe. There's none of the fucking effort there is with most people. So I decided, anyone in my life who is trying too hard, and wants to force me to do the same (and there really are quite a few) can fuck right off. If you ever try to force me ever again I am going to fucking hit you. Please arise up off the fucking knees And hop off the train for a second And try to find your own fucking heart I FEEL SICK. | |||||||||
